Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I’ve been to Gu’s Dumplings before with my wife and had a good experience, which is why I decided to stop by again today with my three daughters. We spent nearly $70 on noodles. Three of the orders were flavorful and enjoyable, but one of the Dan Dan Noodles was noticeably lacking in flavor. I wasn’t asking for a refund or for the food to be remade—I simply asked for a little chili sauce or something similar to add some flavor. I was told it would be $2 extra. After spending almost $70, I found that disappointing. It wasn’t really about the $2; it was about the customer service and the principle. A small amount of sauce could have easily resolved the issue and kept a returning customer happy. Instead, I chose to walk away. Unfortunately, based on how such a simple request was handled, I won’t be returning to this location and I can’t recommend it to others. Good food matters, but customer service matters too—especially when someone is already a repeat customer.

This place has really fallen off. The chonqing spicy chicken used to be amazing and crispy and spicy. Now I order extra spicy and it barely comes with any peppers and the chicken is disgusting and rubbery. The other locations are much much better. This is the fourth time I’ve ordered and the food is basically inedible. I won’t be coming back to this location until something changes. It’s a shame because at other locations food is amazing.

My husband and I stopped by Gu’s Dumplings on Saturday to try a few things, and we had a very nice experience overall. Serene took care of us and provided genuinely attentive, friendly service without being overbearing, which we appreciated. We ordered a few different dishes to share, and everything came out fresh and well prepared. The dumplings in particular were excellent, flavorful, well balanced, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of place where you can tell there’s consistency in the kitchen. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Food was fresh, delicious, and flavorful. The food tasted as if it was handmade. The noodles were thick and chewy and everything seemed like it was just freshly off the stove . But since it's located in a food hall and we got there 30 minutes before closing, we felt extremely rushed by the food hall attendants to leave. Two or three of them walked by to tell us that they closed at 9:00 when we were there and it was 8:35 as they're wiping the tables all around us. It only took us a few minutes to eat our food but they were staring at us and wiping the tables all around us. Meanwhile there were so many people still left in the food hall. I thought that was very rude and definitely makes you not want to go back when you get there 30 minutes before closing and they are rushing their patrons to leave, the same patrons that keep the place running. The restaurant itself was fine. The gentlemen who gave us our food was kind and did not seem concerned at all about the time.

My family & I love Gu’s! However, if I order a FULL order of dumplings. Why did I receive them with little to NO sauce! The sauce is the star and I paid for extra hot. But with no sauce, it lacks the flavor PLUS, I didn’t get what I paid for! I would’ve gladly accepted a side cup of sauce if there was no room left in the container once filled with dumplings. So I’m disappointed in my order this time.
